Stay true to real rule, great design
The description states you can play with friends and family yet there is no online option available. I guess they expect people to use the tablet as an actual board game. Makes no sense. Also, the game is fixed so that the dice rolls in favor of the CPU. I love the game it just pisses me off that his is the only app where the true Parchisi is available and it charges $1.99 and doesnt provide what it states.
This game is rigged. When you roll three doubles in a row, your furthest pawn gets sent home yet for some reason, blue in particular, can roll up to 7 doubles without being sent back. And to roll a five to get a pawn out yourself? Forget it. By the time you get ONE around the board, the game is over.
This game is only fun if you are in the 1/20 times that it will actually let you win. I am all for losing every once in awhile to make it challenging, but there is a difference in the computer being hard and the computer playing with loaded dice. You can get almost all the way around, or have 3 pawns near hime and the computer will have some amazing roll...every time...that will send almost all of your people home and thus winning the game in one turn.
No computer player, requires all four possible players, board is altered from original (home column bases are not safe) and even got lazy an just linked to Wikipedia for the rules. This is a quick implementation, probably a class project.
A well designed game.
Its a great game and well designed, but I dont enjoy playing with the CPU at all. 9 times out of 10 the computer favors itself to send you home, while leaving you without any such advantage. Would be nice to have a truly random dice feature.
This is a great game! You play with two dice and you can play against the computer, family members or friends. If you love Parchessi this is the game to have.
I enjoy this game with friends... But I am addictive to playing it alone ......
This is a very fun game. Will give hours of fun.
Great game. I love the board game. And, when I found this one, I was excited that you can play against the computer. So, play alone against the computer or play with friends! Great fun.
The dice rolls are obviously Not random. Makes for a crappy game where you feel like your playing with a bunch of cheaters. Rest of the game bits are great. Just need to fix the dice.
UPDATE: Ive played many more games since my original review and Im more convinced that the game cheats when played against the computer. For example, if I move my piece 2 spaces in front of an AI piece, the AI piece will roll a 2 and jump me the majority of the time. If I get within jumping distance of an AI piece, it will almost always get a big enough roll to move far away from me, or get just enough to move to a safe try space. There are many more examples of this type of behavior. If the developer would simply make the dice rolls random, Id give it 5 stars. As it is, I have to reduce my rating from 2 stars to 1. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Until they fix the painfully obvious non-random dice rolls, I dont see any reason to play.
